Reviews on latest MPEG2 decoders

Good morning,

I was wondering if there were any major advances in MPEG2 decoders over the past year? I'm still using the NVidia Pure Video decoder that's been out for well over a year.

The PureVideo decoder does a fine job, except that when stretching 4x3 video to a 16x9 TV, in fast animation, vertical line artifacts can be seen. It's kind of hard to describe, but it's almost looks like ghosting, but it goes away when dropping to 4x3 resolution.

Anyway, my video card is a 512MB GeForce 7950GT (factory overclocked).

I'm doubting that there have been any major advances, but figured I'd ask since it's been a while.

Thanks!

i use the PureVideo Decoders too, though i always go with the source's aspect ratio, as i cannot stand stretched/smushed faces, etc.
