Extender Play the DVD that's in the Server

Would it be possible in future upgrades of Sage to have the HD Extender play a DVD that's loaded into the DVD drive of the server?

I'm trying to justify a Sage Server + HD Extender to a friend, and billing it as a replacement for CD player, DVD player, Tivo, etc.... Being able to actually just play a DVD (without having to rip it) would be nice.

It seems like this would be simple to implement given that the current MVP extender can already play ripped movies. Or is there something having to do with the decoding of the DVD that is the reason why it doesn't do it?

As the FAQ says: An extender cannot play encrypted content, including commercial DVDs.
