Playing VOB files using IFO mode.

I'm using DVD Decrypter and I've read in the forums that there is some issue where sage does not play DVD Decrypter files in IFO mode, because the VOB is larger than 1GB, which is not allowed in DVD land.

Is this still true? It seems I can play the VOB file anywhere but sage. I tried to play it anyways but I get the infamous "Playbackexception error -3,0x80004005 problem accessing the filesystem for playback" error. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

The bigger problem with ripping in "IFO mode" in DVD Decrypter is that it doesn't fix the IFOs and leaves you with a broken DVD rip (OK if you're converting to another format).

If you want to rip just the main movie, DVD Shrink is the way to go. Tell it to put the rip where you want it and check the "Create VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS" folder options. And make sure to select the "No Compression" option (at the highest level) if you don't want the movie shrunk.
