DVB EPG data overwrites XMLTV data

I use Sagetv 6.1 with LMGESTION XMLTV importer. In the UK on Freeview.
3 of my channels have got the xmltv epg data fine for 12 hours ahead , but as the time advances , it seems like epg data from the transmitted signal is overlaid on channels 3,4 & 5 .
I have removed the sources , re-defined the sources and avoided scanning for channels using the tuner - just using the downloaded info for our freeview transmitter. But it is still the same . I reinstalled LMGestion with the new version & set up the channel table again . But it is still doing it. Can I switch off the EPG from the DVB signal .

Yes you can do it, it requires editing the sage.properties file (in SageTV installation directory).

* Shut down SageTV (GUI and Service)
* Open the sage.properties file in Notepad (make a backup copy just in case)
* Search for disable_data_scanning and set it to true for each of your DVB-T video source (eg: epg_data_sources/1879630/disable_data_scanning=true)

Regards,
Stéphane.

Thanks

Works a treat . I am not sure how this happened. I guess that the downloaded XMLTV file has incorrect data for my local transmitter . I assume I actually tune into channels which were found when scanning for DVB signals.
It is very difficult to avoid downloading this XMLTV file in the "setup source dialog" , if i could yave avoided this & just used the detected channels , I would have done so.

Thanks once again.
