Sound on some HD Recordings only background

Since I upgraded to the beta some, not all, of my HD recordings only play the background music and sound effects. I can't hear anyone speaking. The same files play fine in Windows Media Player. Any ideas?

I had a similar issue with the previous release version (6.2.8) during the World Series. I would watch the game in HD, and all I would get were the ball park noises, but no commentary. While that was nice at first, it got kind of lonely.

What fixed it for me was tweaking my AC3 audio decoder settings. I downloaded and reinstalled the latest version of the software, and messed with the control panel settings. I need to revisit those settings now though, because my HD recordings are still a little quieter than my SD recordings.

Do a search on the forum for AC3 audio, and you'll get lots of hits about people having similar problems. I tried to find the threads I used for reference, but I wasn't able to.
