Capture Card not working

My Sage TV usually works without incident.

The incidents I usually have is the capture card wont record, and I'm not sure if this is a issue with Sage TV or the Capture card.

WHen I set something up to record, nothing records, and I get a list of empty mpg files trying to write to the hard drive. I have enclosed screen shoots so see the errors I am getting.

it's an intermittant problem, but lately its happening more than before.

Anyone else having a similar problem?

Thanks in advance!

Chaz

I get the first one a lot! "No Signal" I usually have to shut down sagetv, restart my ati 650 combo (glad its usb) then start sagetv again. Then it works fine for awhile then it does it again.

Doesn’t seem to matter if its QAM or SD. It's like the tv tuner locks up or something. As a test I tried to restart the ati tuner when sage was in standby mode, then go a watch tv still no signal. I have to shut down both for it to work again.
I already missed several recordings because of it

Right now I am on trial version, not sure if I am ready to buy this product and keep the ati card.

*My computer is not using standby mode. My monitor is set to shut off after 1 hour. I don't think its a power saver issue.

Capture Card not working

Well, after years of intermitant use of SageTV, I updated my Sony MPEG driver, and it seems to have solved the problem.

I'm very embarrased, as I've had this PC for 3 or 4 years......

Good Luck!
