At the website http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/directx.html I don't see Win2000 listed. I tried to download via the Microsoft site http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/t...t4ab2NQQ%3d%3d ... results in a download of dxwebsetup.exe ... which when executed, never starts the download. I was looking for an alternate site for the download.

Alternate site. You'll have to validate your copy of Windows.

DirectX 9 Aug-2007 from Microsoft

It's a long story, but I ended up re-installing my entire operating system.

After I re-installed, I realized that I had not removed the Hauppauge PVR-150 card ... don't know what drivers the OS (Win2000) used for this card, but I know they were not from the CD that came with the card.

I checked Add/Remove Hardware, but could not identify which one is the Hauppauge. Any suggestions?

Run the hwclear program that should be on the CD. That gets rid of everything for Hauppauge-drivers, inf, etc.

Windows doesn't have any built-in drivers for Hauppauge cards (at least not as of Win 2K or XP), if that's what you were referring to. The card will show up under Unknown (probably labeled as "Multimedia Video Controller" or some such) until you install the Hauppauge drivers either from the CD or from the Hauppauge support website.
