New HDHR setup directions?

Can I get a link to the current setup directions for setting up a HDHR. The ones on Sillicondust site are pitiful. I found many other directions but all differ in many ways.

Perhaps this would be a good thing to get as a sticky.

Are you talking about these?

http://www.silicondust.com/wiki/hdho...s/sagetv_cable

I followed them word for word last night and got everything up and running in no time.

I had a similar problem when I upgraded my firware and software to the latest. What I had to do was this:

Uninstall all hdhomerun software
Stop Sage and SageService
Delete the old hdhomerun encoder section from my sage.properties
Install the new software package
then go through the setup process listed on silicondust's website

After that the directions worked just fine. It took a couple of days to figure out the steps (when I can only work on it in 20 minute chunks)

Hope that helps.

FWIW, I had been trying to get my HDHR working for several months following the various directions both here and at Silicondust's forums. I tried it with the 6.1 release and the 6.2 betas from 6.2.5 through 6.2.8. Every time, no matter what I did, I only got "No signal" when I tried to tune with the HDHR. When the 6.2.10 release came out, I changed my approach a bit: I uninstalled the HDHR software and drivers, uninstalled SageTV, backed up and then deleted the SageTV and Silicondust folders in Program Files, and then installed SageTV 6.2.10 and HDHR 20070916beta1 from scratch, following the steps on Silicondust for the HDHR. Now my HDHR is working perfectly in SageTV. It wasn't until I uninstalled everything and started over that it worked. Hope this helps someone else!
