three IR blasters?

Now that the firewire channel changing no longer works, I am switching to IR blaster channel changing.

I see how to hook up two IR blasters, but how do I get a third to work? or can you only have two tuners when using IR blasting?

What are you using for your IR blaster? USB-UIRT? The USB-UIRT can do 3 identical tuners with 1 UIRT, more than 3 tuners if they use different IR codes. And you can hook up more than 1 UIRT if you need to, IIRC.

I am using a Microsoft remote/IR blaster. It has only two outputs for an IR blaster. Can I add another MS remote/IRBlaster? or do I need a USBUIRT?

Have no clue about adding a second Microsoft IR blaster, since even getting it to IR blast in the first place is sort of a hack.

With a USB-UIRT, you could replace the MS IR receiver/blaster and do 3 identical STBs, or maybe you could add it and get 3 more zones in addition to you original 2 zones with the MS blaster.

DO I need to install GIrder or some other IR software with the USBUIRT? I ask because I simply plug in the MS remote and it works 100%, nothing else to do out of the box.

Will the USBUIRT accept commands from a MS Remote Control? I ask because my Harmony remote is all setup to emulate a Microsoft remote and I don't want to have to resetup that thing again.

Three blasters is all I need.

for basic IR receiving and blasting, you shouldn't need girder. USBUIRT is natively supported by Sage for IR receive/blasting. You will need to do a little bit of "zone" programming, and get some IR blasters and a splitter, 3 tuners, 3 cable boxes: USB-UIRT 3 Zone Control

Only for IR receiving, not blasting. To set up the MS blasters, you need to configure all kinds of extra stuff with extra programs.

The USBUIRT will work with just about any remote. You may have to do a little bit of setup with the new remote, teaching Sage the different IR signals. But it shouldn't be too hard.
