Converts Lose Channel Association

(This is with 6.1.9)

When I convert a recording and don't "Replace Original Recording", the channel association of the converted recording is lost.

When I convert a recording and do "Replace Original Recording", the channel association of the converted recording remains.

Is there a reason for this?

That's the way it works -- I think it is done to make them slighly different, or else you end up with 2 exactly the same recordings & there is no longer a 1 to 1 match between recordings & airings... or something like that.

Sage's DB engine enforces a rule that there can not be 2 airings on the same channel at the same time, and that an Airing can only have 1 Recording... So when making a converted copy, you have to use a different channel.

Ok, that makes sense from a DB perspective, although not necessarily from a user perspective.

Thanks for the quick answer!
