Moving from Archive, but still in archive

OK I have had Sage now for about 2.5 years and am working on v5 - and I love it. It does everything that I want it to do and is great, but I'm having a small problem. My usual method of storing files is to let them accumulate in Archived Recordings then move them (via Windows cut and paste) to their own directory, on another drive. Yesterday I shut down SageUI and the Sage Service and started cutting and pasting files off of the recording drive to their own directory and drive. Everything worked well, but instead of breaking the link between the Archived Recording list and the new location, Sage updated the archive with the new location and even found some old files that had been moved previously. I don't want this to happen - what I want is for the archive to now be empty and for me to only be able to access the files thru the Imported Media menu. Anyone know who to break the link between these now moved files and the Archived Recording list? I would prefer to do this without loosing my Current Recordings list, but I know that might be difficult.

As long as the ID number is part of the recording's file name, SageTV tries to link the file back to its recording info & treats it as a recording.

So the best thing I can do is start changing file names of the shows that I have moved this should break the archive link and make them visable as Imported media. Thanks!!
