Audio level control

Low audio level has been a problem reported for some time. It's entirely possible I've missed any solutions offered, but I don't think I have. My TV's are at 98% of volume and SageTV is set to 98% of volume and it is still often too low.

Since audio level control would be desired even while watching live TV, I'd imagine the SageTV developers would need to be involved.

I'd really like to have SageTV offer an amplifier-type control for each type of audio/video input. This level of control really should be offered within SageTV.

Someone please hear my call; though the volume is probably too low.

p.s. I love SageTV! I just to Verizon Fios working and now have DirecTV and Fios feeds! Yay

I can't believe I am the only person to have this issue. Any comment from Sage please?

If you're looking for a comment from Sage, you're in the wrong place. Although many of the developers do stop by, it's rare that they post (compared to some of the other users in the community).

I personally have not experienced this issue, so I don't really have anything to say about it; have you filed a bug report with Sage? They are more likely to respond rather than in the user forums.

Use AC3 filter and enable DRC. Turn up both the Master and Gain level.

I have something similar. I have 3 tuners and recordings from two of them are typically low volume level, but usable. The average volume on the 3rd source is much higher and so I have to turn the volume way down when watching recordings from that source. I agree that it would be nice to have a way to adjust input by source to try and compensate for differences like this.
