Avermedia A180 Audio Control
I got an issue with the A180 in that all the recordings are recorded at a VERY low audio level so that I have to boost my tuner all the way up.
Isn't there any way to adjust to recording level of the card to a higher level? Am I the only one who has an issue with the low audio level of the OTA HDTV channcels? |

I also have this issue. If I watch something loud on a digitial channel (A180) and then forget to turn it way down when I switch to something from my SD tuner (D*) it's a BIG mistake.
It seems to have something to do with Sage because the audio is louder when played through the Aver app. How does that work for you? peace . . . Quote:

I had this problem too and I think this problem is actually with the audio decoder being used for HD. (or at least it can be fixed that way )
I noticed some of them are very low.. the Sonic has a pretty normal level for me. I think the Sage one is ok too. What one are you using ? mike/ |

Good catch I'll have to try that.
I use directsound/envy 24 Audio WDM drivers. My new 'hobby' is kernel streaming/'bit perfect' audio. Highly recommended if you want to pass DTS and AC3 through SPDIF unmolested by windows so your receiver can decode it. An amazing upgrade for < $30 but I digress. Thanks again. peace . . . Quote:
