Resuming imported video 6.2.7

Has anybody else had trouble resuming an imported video?

I've submitted a bug report, but what happens is the video will freeze and the audio will continue to play. I can start the video from the beginning fine. The videos are XVID format.

I had problems playing back some XVID videos in 6.2.6. The SageTV GUI just frooze.

Switching from the inbuild MP4 decoder to directx fixed it.

The setting is somewhere in the detailed setup and you'll need to have a DirectX compatible deocder installed, of course.

I've had this happen in the past with .wmv files. A clean Sage install fixed it for me. My current 6.2.7 resumes fine with .wmv...no .xvid to test though.

But the question is what settings are reset when you make a clean install? Ive got so many mods to my properties files its a pain to make a clean. Ill wait for the bug to be fixed or find the setting that I need to change.

I raised this thing repeatedly with SageTV and still did not fix it.
If you are using the mplayer (inbuilt player) it usually does not have this problem.

But if you are using the DirectShow drivers (3d acceleration enabled), it gets into this. I am using ffdshow, and it really bugs me that they can't fix it.
