Sage and AC3filter presets
I have been all over the place and cannot find if this is possible. Basically here is my setup. I have Sagetv using AC3Filter as my mpeg audio decoder filter. Basically to help boost HD volume levels vs. standard def. I am also using Zoom player for DVD playback. I am using AC3Filter for the Audio Decoder in that as well, as I could not get FFdshow to output properly with enough volume (i'm using spdif if that matters). Anyway I have everything working but I have two different presets for the different sources, one for Sage and one for Zoom, with different AC3Filter setting and volume levels for each. So I'm wondering if there is any way to have SageTV, ZoomPlayer or even AC3Filter automatically load the proper presets for each Source. Otherwise I have to do it manually, and it never fails that I forget to change it over before hand and I end up blasting the volume, because SageTV is using the presets for Zoom..
Can anyone suggest a solution to this Thanks Mike |

Me too
This continues to bother me as well. I have dumb'd down my AC3 config to give me consistent results but cannot get the best audio between channels. I wish I could switch AC3filter profiles when switching channels. I would turn on SPDIF bypass for HD and use stereo for analog channels.
I use the AGC and volume |

Have you removed/renamed the ac3filter.ax located in the sage directory? SageTV by default will use the one in its directory first even if you have it installed elsewhere but it will use the system's version if it can't find it in its directory. You just have to remember to get rid of it again when you upgrade to a new version of SageTV.

The latest Sage beta now uses the latest AC3 filter. 1.46 as of this post.
