Way to remotely configure a user?
I'm sitting in a hotel trying to access Sage via the placeshifter and realized I forgot to configure a user and password before I left home. DOH!
 Is there a way to configure a user remotely? My cat is at home but she is probably sleeping and hence not able to help.

Sage Server: 8th gen Intel based system w/32GB RAM running Ubuntu Linux, HDHomeRun Prime with cable card for recording. Runs headless. Accessed via RD when necessary. Four HD-300 Extenders.

Do you have remote VNC access through the router?
I was able to RDP to my desktop and actually installed placeshifter on the desktop. Since it was inside the network, it didn't need a login. I was then able to use the internal placeshifter to setup a new user that the external placeshifter could then use.

Similarly, if you can set up a VPN to your home LAN, you might be able to trick the server into thinking you're on the local LAN and run Placeshifter without a login. I don't think you'll get any transcoding this way, so for actual playback you'll probably want to set up a user and connect remotely without the VPN.
