how to choose user on lan connection
I have a sage server with 2 sage windows clients that I have been using for some time. I am starting to dip my toe into the placeshifter waters for the first time. I am looking to be able to use a custom stv with placeshifter on a mac on my lan. I have set the server to have a placeshifter user with a custom stv. I am unable to figure out how to use this user with the placeshifter for mac on my lan. Placeshifter works fine, but i cannot seem to get it to prompt for any user information. Can anyone throw me a bone?

I think you want this property setting:
miniclient/authenticate_local_connections=true That will force a Placeshifter connection on a LAN to have to enter a user + pwd instead of just auto-connecting. - Andy
