DirecTV H20 IR blasting
Hi,
Anyone out there with a DirecTV H20 (H20-100 to be exact) and using it with HIP? I'm having issues getting it to 100% blasting accuracy. About 15% of the blasts fail. I've tried moving the IR bug all around the face of the H20, moving it out from the face a variety of distances etc. with similar results. This same blasting box (Microsoft MCE labeled) worked great blasting an RCA DTC-100 via HIP. I also have an H20-600 upstairs that is solid 100% of the time, but the H20-100 model seems to be more sensitive. I've heard that on some H20's the IR receiver is quite sunk in to the chassis and maybe this is why. If anyone has any tips, suggestions or a CCF file I could grab hex codes from that would be cool. If I can't get blasting to work reliably I guess I'll have to go the serial-USB route. sigh. thanks!

well, I may have figured out my own problem. HIP has a setting called "IR Send Repeat Count" which controls, I guess, the number of blasts per digit. It defaults to 2, I set it to 1 because my issue with the failures appears to have been repeating digits.
Fingers are crossed.
