Controlling a Directv H20 with usb?

I did some searches but everything I found is from 2 years ago.
Could anyone assist me in figuring this one out?

Also, how well does an IR blaster work? I've got one laying around from my pvr-150.

I have asked more than once if anyone is using an H20 and serial control with no reply.

IR blaster control is not 100%. Serial control is much better.
