6.2.5: Deleting recordings

When doing the above the list of recordings does not get refreshed anymore. Is that intentional?

No, it isn't intentional. I noticed it last week & already fixed it, so it will be in the next beta update.

Just so you know: the recording is deleted, the list just didn't get refreshed properly afterwards.

I was surprised no one posted about it before now, and I think only 1 bug report was submitted.

That would have been me!

Do I get the feeling that people are reluctant to file bug reports in general?

I certainly get that feeling because there have been several times where I finally got curious & asked about an issue after I had read multiple posts on the topic... and found out that no bug reports had been filed.

But if you file a bug report, then problems get fixed and there's nothing to moan about, and then what would some of our favorite posters do.

Hi Andy,

Any idea when this bug will be fixed? I went to install it today on my main server and realized my wife would freak out if she went to delete something and it didn't go away.

No, I don't know when the next beta will be out & I don't think I can post an STV update due to some of the changes it contains.

It does delete, but the list entry remains until you exit & return to the menu... or at least I think that will refresh the list. Also, if you delete it while on a different menu, this issue doesn't exist.

Which menu does it affect? SageTV Recordings? Does it matter if I use the (new) malore?

It only affects the default SageTV Recordings menu if you delete a recording while on that menu.

Well, there was a different issue on a different menu, but I don't think that one affected anyone; or at least no one has commented on that one.

Just wanted to verify that this is what is happening to me, and it may also be why many people didn't report it. Most of what I watch is in series, and I have my shows grouped by title name. If I delete from within the series folder, the file is deleted and removed from the view; however, last night I watched a show which was the only one of its kind (so it didn't appear in a folder). When I deleted it, the name stayed in the view. I exited the Recordings menu, and went back, and the name of the file was gone.
