Recording Status in Taskbar
I just upgraded from Sage Tv 5 to 6x, and I am noticing that when I put the mouse over the Sage TV Icon in the taskbar on the right, that it doesn't let me know that I am recording something. This was handy, because I would sometimes reboot in the middle of a show.
Is there a way to get this notification back? Thanks in advance! Chaz |

Are you using service mode now? If so, it won't show that info for a client.
Check the list of customizations for possible alternative status monitors, or just open the SageTV window to see if the REC indicator is on. - Andy

Service mode is in Chapter 2 of the PDF manual, under the Starting SageTV section.
But, let's back up a bit... you said Taskbar, but I figured you meant the icon in the system tray. Also, are you trying to do this on the server PC or on a client? The client system tray icon does not show that info. Only the system tray icon for the server shows the status when not using service mode. - Andy
