SVideo Only Capture Cards?
Hello,
I think I've finally convinced my wife to drop the Cox DVR. We've been using a Sage setup (server in basement) and mediaMVPs around the house for viewing (waiting anxiously for the HDMVPs). In the server I have a NVidia DualTV and PVR150 hooked up to analog cable using their built in tuners. I also have a HDHomerun in the system. I want to add an aditional two tuners to control two cable boxes. I've looked at the firewire capture options, but the cable company has locked down more than half the channels so I'm reserved to use SVideo and RCA stereo lines for capture from the cable boxes. Since I don't need tuner capabilities for these two capture devices is there something out there that someone recommends? Obviously it needs to work well with SageTV and preferrably plays well with other capture devices. Thanks, Keith |

Tuners are essentially "free", there's really nothing out there capture card wise that doesn't have a tuner. Nothing that works well in Sage for sure. You've already got one of the best cards anyway, the DualTV, that should have 2 S-Video inputs on it.
