Stop Sage complaining about color depth?

I'm in the process of converting my Sage setup from standalone to client-server.

Since my server's a bit wimpy (700mHz PIII), I've got the display set to 16-bit color to speed it up when accessing via VNC.

Problem is, every time I fire up the Sage UI on the server (to change settings or whatever), it complains that it should be set to 24-bit or higher color. Is there any way to turn this message off?

Yeah I know I'm being picky and should either ignore it or not fire up the UI on the server

Thanks, I was wondering about that myself. I lived with it for a long time.

Of course that means close the UI and stop the service, if it's running.

... just being clear.

Wow, I get this message all the time when I operate over Remote Desktop. It'll be great to turn that off. Thanks!
