Sage says No Signal, WinTV shows it
I have SageTV 4 and it has worked fine until a couple of days ago and it started showing No Signal on S-Video. I opened WinTV and it shows just fine. All I have connected is S-Video, so there is no chance of choosing the wrong input.
Any ideas where to start on this? Wayne |

Is the tuner still configured correctly in Sage? Anything in the Sage log file and events logs of the OS?

If your tuner still shows as installed, scan for available channels.

After this started happening, I went back and reconfigured and nothing changed. As for the log files, I do not know how to check those, but I will find out how and see if anything there shows problems.

Scanning channels - I have never had this option, although the manual says it should be there. Even at that, if WinTV is finding the channels and Sage always has before, but doesn't now, what should that tell me?
Log file - where do I find the log file for Sage? It is not in the documentation. Thanks for the help! I would really like to have Sage back... |

Is WinTV still running? If something else is using the tuner, then SageTV will not be able to use it.
For debug logging, see this FAQ. - Andy

No, I don't keep them running together. Since my last post I have installed new pvr-250 drivers, as well as a complete fresh install of Sage, but nothing changed. I have also tried coax, as well as S-Video just trying to eliminate any possibilities.
I am really at a loss as to what to do next. This has worked great for me for over two years until a few days ago. |

I've seen a similar problem and reinstalling the PVR500 drivers did it for me. Just a thought though, if you have XP system restore turned on then you could restore back to when it was all last working
