Demo closes?

Is the v6 demo designed to close to keep people who have decent up times from never buying the product or is this new version just crashing? I find it hard to tell if I want to bother waste the money on a new version of SageTV if it is not stable.

The last time you had problems like this, you were using SageTV well past the trial period, with symptoms the same as when someone used a poorly cracked version. Are you doing the same thing again, by any chance?

If you have a v5 license, v6 server doesn't run in trial mode. If you own a pre-v5 license, the server will run in trial mode until you register an upgrade license. (Clients don't need upgrade keys.) Trial mode on the server operates normally, except for the time limit, and isn't progammed to just exit.

If you own a v4 or earlier license and are having problems with the v6 server trial, I suggest you enable debug logging and contact SageTV tech support.

Uh... I have a key for v4 that I purchased from PCAlchemy and I have already submitted it to Sage for verification.

I upgraded from 5.02 to 6.1 and was going to try it out to see if I liked the new features but it was randomly closing while I was watching TV so I opted to stick with 5.04 which I just recently asked to find on the forums.
