Encoder question
I have been using a Hauppauge PVR-150 for about a year and a half to record from a directv sat reciever over the svideo output. I would like to know from someone who has maybe used both cards, if the nVidia dual tv is much better from just an encoder standpoint than a PVR-150? I may purchase an nVidia while you can still get them, if they are really better as far as encoding goes. I don't use this type card for OTA reception as I have ATSC tuners for that. Are there better cards than either of these to use as strictly an mpeg encoder?

My opinion go's against most of what you will read, but...I think my PVR500 produces better quality. Maybe in MCE, where you can get to the ISF Profile, the DualTV is better. But in Sage, with analog from the wall, my DualTV produces a picture that "shimmers"...hard to explain...looks like a fresnel lens effect.
