Playing back PAL DVDs via SageTV - is it even possible?

I have a PAL DVD.
I can play it back on my TV (TV is connected to my PC via 7600GT video card) using MS Media Player or RealPlayer. However, when I try to play it back using SageTV, the SageTV crashes horribly.
Questions:
1. Is it even possible to play back PAL DVD using SageTV's Play DVD function?
2. If yes, what settings should be set to facilitate this?

Thanks
Frank

Perhaps I was not clear enough.

I am talking about playing PAL DVD's via SageTV on an NTSC TV.

Cheers

There should be no reason why PAL DVDs should cause Sage to crash (I assume playing NTSC DVDs do not crash it). In theory nothing *should* cause Sage to crash

Check the DVD renderer/decoder settings to confirm that they are set to reasonable values; check the sage log, and maybe the crash log (hs_err_pid_xxx.log in Sage directory) to get an idea of why the crash occured.

I have successfully played PAL DVDs through to an NTSC TV with no problem. I actually didn't realize it was a PAL DVD until I ejected it. No extra configuration or anything. Not sure whats wrong.
