SageTV Minimised on Resume from S3 Standby
Hi,
Very frustrated at the moment because whenever I resume my HTPC from S3 standby, Sage is minimised. Not, strangely, to the tray (which is what happens if I actively choose to minimise it); instead it's as if I've alt-tabbed to a different app, so Sage is still in the Taskbar, but all I see is the desktop. Not running much else. Tried lots of settings (including triple-checking that Sage was not set to minimise on sleep!). Sound like anything anyone else has seen? Sage 6.1.8 client running on Java 1.6. Choice of STV doesn't seem to affect it; neither does whether I'm running FSE or not. Thanks, Rob

I don't have an answer for you only that I find Sage has a hard time with FSE after resuming. I use Nielm's dynamic menus and add an option to exit Sage prior to sleeping the PC.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to upgrade to the latest versions of Java and Sage, then do some testing to make sure it isn't FSE that's the problem, and raise a bug - it really is a major pain in the arse for a living room PC!

Mahoney,
I have the same problem whenever I use FSE. As a workaround, I mapped a button on my remote to the command that minimizes/wakes up sage from the system tray. Now my wife knows if she wakes up the computer, and she sees the desktop, she only needs to push that button twice (first moves it from taskbar to system tray, second push brings it full screen again). If I switch to overlay or VMR9 without FSE, I don't see this problem. -Chris

OK, thanks, useful to know! I imagine Sage would just tell me "don't use FSE" - but sadly without FSE my system can't cope with VMR9. And bizarrely Overlay seems not to work anymore.
