HD Homerun is slow with 6.1.4
I upgraded last night and have noticed that, when going to the program guide and selecting a channel that's mapped to HD Homerun, the instruction is extremely slow in getting to HD Homerun. I've made sure that I have the latest firmware. On my client, I send a "watch now" command to the Sage Server, and view the HD Homerun Manager's responsiveness to the command. It can take about 10 seconds for it to respond.
Anyone else, who uses HD Homerun, notice this behavior?

I've seen similar problems when using SageTV service and using the log on as system account. I corrected the problem by having the service log on as a regular account.

The first time I tried watching a show on the HDHR (from the program guide) I received a "no signal" error. I went to another MVP and did the same thing and the show started but it took a while to begin. I thought the first error was just a fluke and then the slowness was me just being impatient but now I will be on the lookout for this.
I do not use service mode.

Can someone explain to me how the HD Homerun interacts with SageTv server? Does it look like a dual tuner network encoder or does is act like a dual tuner local tuner card(s) in the server itself.
I am interested in purchasing one oif these units but need a clear understanding of the interaction with SageTV. Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Gerry

Ron thanks so much for answering my questions. I do understand that's it's a network devce, but can I watch live TV from either the SageTV server itself, or a SageTV Client or Placeshifter Client and change channels like I would be able to using a tuner adapter card or is the HD Homerun strictly to be used for recording purposes?
One again any help would be appreciated. Thanks Gerry
