Strangest thing... Volume reduced to zero on imported vids?

Here's what I observed... I could not get sound on imported vids. Turns out that every time you play one, sage (I assume??) reduces wave volume to zero(!!) - verifaible by looking at the control panel/sounds/advanced tab... anyone else seeing this very strange behaviour??

[edit - this is on a fresh install of 6.14rc. vids play just fine on windows media player... it sure does look like sage is playing with the 'wave' volume (not global volume control) ... and I tried different audio renderers etc.]

OK, we found and fixed this for the next build. To fix it for now just set this property:

videoframe/last_dshow_volume=1.0

Better yet... I added a copy of the info to the v6.1.4 beta release thread. Since those threads will be closed now, I just have to remember to copy such info those places.

I shut down Sage (I dont run service) added this property line. I verified that the line is still there after running sage once then shutting it down.

I don't get sound on imported videos. My wave output is not muted and the slider bar is to the top. I can get sound by clicking on the wave slider bar. As soon as I stop the video and restart I loose sound again.

Im using 6.1.4, Ac3Filter 1.11. All video sound plays fine in WMP.

Any suggestions?

That line was already in my properties file. Make sure it's not in there twice now that you have added one.

Ya that problem JUST hit me last night, I had been running for the past week just fine as well.

I first noticed it on my imported music files, and then on all my imported media.

Same thing here. Been working fine until today.

My properties file is already videoframe/last_dshow_volume=1.0

I can report Narflex's fix worked for me - I had the problem, and setting the property value to 1.0 (I had 0.0) solved the problem in my case.

Yeah, watch out. At random times, my line in the SageClient.properties resets itself to 0.0. I run the service, so even though the line in Sage.properties is a 1.0, if the one in SageClient.properties is 0.0, sound won't work on mp3's and imports.
