How Do I Record Repeat of Favorite?

I had a problem the other day that required me to restart my server. Unfortunately, I did not realize that SageTV was recording a show from one of my favorites.

I have a favorite set up to record all episodes (new and repeat) of a series. Once the server came back online, SageTV picked up the recording. However, I deleted it because of the missing parts.

I know SageTV is smart in that it will not record the same episode twice, but in this case, I want it to. Is there a way to do this?

If the episode you deleted was not marked as 'Watched' then sage should pick it up for recording the next time it is aired.

Somebody should confirm this; since you didn't mark the recording as watched, Sage will record it again next time it airs.

Edit: MeInMaui beat me to it by a minute

I was hoping that was the answer!

So SageTV does do some "checking" as to what is currently on the hard drive too, I suppose? Since many of the shows for this series I haven't watched yet (or set to watched), and Sage hasn't recorded a single duplicate.

Man I love SageTV!

Yes - when it is able to do so, it will record each episode only once. This FAQ covers the topic a little bit.
