Issue 1
If I am in Program Guide, I still need to click at least THREE buttons via mouse to get something recorded.

I would like a Power Record button to the right of the "record options" button on the dialog that has "record options, view program information, view additional airings, view historical airings, set watched, set don't like, close" This is the first one that comes up when you select a program in the grid.

And I couldn't care less about the "view historical airings, set watched, set don't like" part, by the way.

The Power Record button would use options I specify elsewhere to record the program using a certain recording quality as well as start & stop time modifications. So I could say, use standard quality, -2 min. start and +3 min stop on Power Record. And then when selecting that button, it would automatically do all that and show any conflicts if there are any.

Issue 2
Also, let's say I go to Schedule Recordings, Search, and select a show. It lists a bunch of results. Let's say I wanted to record a group of them -- only certain episodes -- by easily selecting multiple at once and using one Power Record command to record all selected. Maybe something like the channel customization list would work?

It's very tiring, when collecting old shows and ONLY wanting CERTAIN episodes but a NUMBER of different ones, and having to do everything manually so that dozens of conflicting fluff eps don't get created.

Detailed Setup->Customize->Use expanded options for Record command=Disabled.
You can use my default padding plugin to set default padding for manual recordings.
