Channel changing problems.........again...
Hey all,
The other day I posted that Sage missed a favorite that I had set up to record. I have had the problem again a couple of other times, and I think I have narrowed it down a little bit more. First let me say that I am using the Hauppauge IR blaster that came with my PVR-150. It is taped directly to the window of my Dish network receiver and no other remote in the room can change the channel. Only the SageTV client was running at the time of the recordings. Also, I have been through the FAQs and have had not luck figuring out what to do. The problem appears to be on the first of a string of favorite recordings. This has happened twice this morning. The first time I had three 30 minue shows scheduled to record at 4:00 this morning. The first one was missed because the channel was not changed. The other two were just fine. The second time, I had a 30 minute show scheduled to record at 7:30 A.M., and a one hour show schduled at 8:00 A.M. The 7:30 A.M. show was missed because the channel did not change. I am guessing that the receiver never even got the channel change command since I did not see the Dish channle infomration at the top of the screen for the shows I missed and I did see it for the ones I got. So, when it changes channels it does so correctly. When it messes up though it is bad. I was really considering purchaing the software, but right now I am so frustrated that I have about decided to go back to manually selecting what to record throught the Hauppauge software. Never missed anything that way. Please help, Rob Hix |

In you string of shows, are they on the same or different channels?
You might want go to Detailed Setup>Customize Settings and check Always Tune Channel.

Always tune channel is on. I can be watching in Sage and try to use the remote and all of a sudden it doesn't work. Just now for some reason I am getting no sound in Sage and everything is fine in WinTV2000.
I was so in hopes that this would work for me, but I do not think at this point that I will waste $80.00 buying this software. It is just one problem after another. It seems that every time something goes ok, something else breaks. Maybe the technology will be there one day, but I am giving up now. I've got better things to spend my money on than software that doesn't work. |
