USB-UIRT & DCT6412 channel change problem

Greetings:

Background: PVR-150 MCE; RF input used for analog cable (<100), S-Video connected to DCT6412 for digital channels (>100). Just upgraded from the MCE IR receiver to the USB-UIRT for its IR blaster support. Intent is to change channels on the 6412.

Installed USB-UIRT ok, learned the IR codes but encounter a problem when changing channels. I can change the RF channels ok, but encounter a strange problem when tuning the digital channels. It seems that the first 3-digit channel (say channel 112) is blasted/received ok by the 6412, but in subsequent changes (say channel 111) the 6412 seems to be missing the first digit of the channel. Sage thinks its on channel 111 (channel/program info etc), but the 6412 is tuned to channel 11. If I then enter channel 052, Sage tunes channel 52 from the RF input.

Any ideas?

I think there is a delay or speed setting for how fast thoae digits are transmitted somewhere. Also consider this:

Native MCE blaster

You could try using your MCE receiver again with that program and try to get it blasting.

I too have been having problems changing channels on a 64XX using a USB-UIRT. Then I read where you can do it using firewire. It took me awhile to figure it out, but let me say I will never go back. It now changes the channel flawlessly everytime. See this thread

for details. HTH.
