Why does sagetv stay minimized after standby

I'm having a tough time finding the answer to this. After I bring my system out of standby, sagetv is always minimized. How do I set it to stay full screen and after standby?

Thanks

No I haven't. I'll try it, thanks

Just to make sure I'm being clear on this. The stand by I'm talking about is not the stand by in sagetv. It's the stand by in the OS.

Thanks

Yeah, I understood this. I was just thinking that at the time your OS is going into standby Sage has to be in sleep mode, and if you don't have the screensaver enabled it will minimize Sage, so that on waking up from standby Sage will probably just remain in the minimized state. All just guesswork, but sounds logical to me...

I was having this problem too, I set the Windows screensaver to never and it went away. This only occurred in v6, honestly I didn't even know I had the windows screensaver enabled until I checked, the Sage screensaver was set to kick in before the windows.

It sounds like you have Full Screen Exclusive VMR9 enabled, and when your PC goes into and outof standby, the focus transfers to another window, which causes FSE to be cancelled (and the window to minimise)...

I believe that there is property in V6 to disable this behaviour.

There is and it solved this for me. Look in the client properties.

Check your windows-XP screensaver and Powersaver option properties, and disabled everything that have anything to do with screensaver and powersaver/Hibernation. I did this an now I no longer have your problem. Now I can use my 880 remote to turn everything off and on with one push of a button and no longer have my SageTv client being minimized.

Nope. I have no screen saver enable in Windows. No Hibernation. I do have FSE enable. I also rebuilt the system from scratch, and it still stay minimize when coming out of standby mode.

Also When I do manually restore sage. The menu is all choppy looking at times.

Thanks for the help so far

So from what I have been reading, If you have FSE enabled and either screensaver or standby enabled (in the OS) you will loose focus on sageTV.

Somebody mentioned a property to get around this, but what is this setting? I want to have hibernation or standby enabled on the client, anybody have a suggestion? Thanks

I second that question. What is the exact property to set as mentioned?

Thank you, is the only place to edit this in the sage.properties file or can it be set from the setup screen within Sage?

it only in the properties file for now... and don't forget if you're running service mode then the property needs to be set in sageclient.properties

Would this keep the computer that is running Sage from going into Standby or Hibernate?

Since I don't use standby or hibernate, I'll have to let someone else answer...
