Question Dvd files Question

Hi everybody

i hope im in the right place. im currently a media center user who is trying to come over to xp. that means i need a replacement for my media center. currently i have over 800gb of dvd folders on my external drive that i use to play through mediacenter. i have been using a plugin for it called my movies2.

does sage have the ability to play my files through a menuing system that i can browes my movies on my external hard drives and load.

i would consider converting to iso if that is the only choice i have.

Thanks so much

SageTV can play DVDs that are ripped to their directory structure:

DVD\
AUDIO_TS\
VIDEO_TS\
*.IFO
*.VOB

What was described above is standard, as shown on p. 250 of the v5.0 manual that you can download separately from the installer. (Smae page as the installer, or see my sig lines.)

Check the Customizations forum, there may be info there about getting DVD info, but that is not part of the standard interface.

MCE is XP - you don't need to "come over" to xp, just disable MCE if you want. The way you worded it, it sounded like you were going to reformat and put on a new copy of XP....just so you know
