Hi ToonGal, It's a shame I can't see/understand what you are seeing as transparent.

They should be transparent, but have the dark green underneath, so that should be visible (looks similar to the solid version, but has a more shiny look to it).

Are you seeing the border around the marker block? Is the block transparent to the bar or through the bar to the video? I might have a play with making the transparency a user setting. I agree with stanger89, it's does look nicer (when it works)

Glad at least one version is working for you.

New version of Modded Comskip 1.1.7 (18 Nov 2006)

- Fix for not importing correctly in Sage version 5.04 (Thanks ToonGal)
- Option for selecting Commercial Block marker transparency. Defaults to solid
- Corrected the name. you'll need to change your plugins.cfg if using flachbar's importer

I've done a bit of a cleanup of the import code so let me know if anything that used to work now doesn't

See first post for latest version download

JREkiwi, on the STVi for reading my files, is it possible to import metadata from another program that uses XML formatting? I can generate an xml file and then do a mass renaming on the fields to turn say <synopsis></synopsis> into whatever the my files equivelent is. But cutting each section into smaller my files would be very time consuming on the thousands of files I have. I guess what I am asking is if there was someway to use your STVi into a kind of meta data importer? Thanks!

silkshadow, but isn't it a meta data importer already All semantics aside, it depends on the format of your XML file.

The Read My Files import is very limited on the fields it will read. The RW My Files import will read many more, but in both imports they are all in the format of "tag=data". It could be done the mass renaming way. The tags read in RW My Files are
Code:
title=
Title=
overview=
released=
actors=
TVEpisode=
TVOverview=
TVActualStartTime=
TVStartDate=
TVStartTime=
TVEndTime=
TVGenre=
TVActors=
TVGuestStar=
TVDirector=
TVExecutiveProducer=
TVProducer=
TVHost=
TVWriter=
TVChannelNumber=
TVChannelName=
TVOriginalAiringDate=
Nielm was talking of writing an XML importer after he did his XML writer. I'm hanging out for that.

Comskip version

I really love these plugins and appreciate all the work you guys have put in.

With version 1.2 , I think the link for Comskip 1.2 is to an older version. STVI name is still 'eld' and the latest file in the .zip is 10/20/06.

Thanks ugh, don't quite know how that happened. It's the right one now. Apologies to you and the 11 other people that downloaded it.

I was one of these 11

I just switched from the old comskip STVi but have one problem now.
When I press my comskip button on my remote it doesn't do anything.
Does this still listen on the custom 5 command?

What do I have to do?

Thanks,

Oliver

owilsky, it should work. Have you tried loading the import into the base STV with no other imports?

John

Edit: This is a bug fixed in latest version

owilsky, It's broken. I was so focused on checking the .txt support with autoskip I missed that. Thanks for letting me know.

Is this a different stvi offering than the one in the EDL-supported thread? I still haven't gotten the comskip app tweaked enough and it loves to mark the end of a show as commercial which axes the previews.

EDIT: "scratch" that last bit. 1.2.1 did the trick on the menu. you must have slipped an update in while I was sleeping.

hemicuda, It started out as out as a tweak of the EDL thread version to enable the menu on version 6. It's progressed since then, but only with adding function. If you could do something with that version and you can't with this, then it's a bug.

I must do most of my updates while I'm sleeping, judging by some of the things I've missed in my testing this week. At least I have run out of function to add now.

Started a new thread for the Comskip import as it's probably past the point of minor now. Thanks to all who provided feedback.

New test version

RW My Files 1.5 beta 1 (23 Nov 2006)

- Save data from IMDB to .my file
- Option to include/exclude epg data from file

Requires Nielm's IMDB Search Interface installed first for saving IMDB data.

John

Edit: Removed as the reading of the IMDB data in the files isn't working

I was wondering if anybody thought it would be a good idea to have a place for people to up/download .my files for entire seasons of series?

I think thats a great idea. I have 3 Shows tagged out right now, I dont know what all tags you are using but I'm not using them all. Only ones I'm using are:
title
TVTitle
TVEpisode
TVOverview
TVGenre
TVYear
TVChannelNumber
TVChannelName
TVChannelDescription
TVOriginalAiringDate
TVLanguage
TVRated

I will be working on some more so if you wanna swap out sometime that will great.

Sorry about that.
RW .my Files was moved to it's own thread.

Comskip Playback was moved to it's own thread.
