Does the Web Radio supposed to stop when you go to watch TV?
If it does supposed to do this.. it does not work for me either

I don't see how this would be possible, because the mediaplayer is closed when playback starts in either web radio main or now playing menu and there's no code in the stv code to start the mediaplayer. Can you please provide the exact steps you take to reproduce this ?

It does work on my system. When I choose the standby item on the main menu, web radio stops playback and sage TV goes to tray. I have installed a listener for the Power Off command in the Global Theme which calls the stopblackback function of the web radio. Could you please verify that you're stv contain this Global Theme and that it has this theme like shown in the attached jpg.

thanks.

No, this version of the web radio will not stop if you start the Sage media player. If you start the web radio while the media player was playing then this will be stopped.

-I bring sageTV out of sleep mode by pressing power. Shortly afterwards, Television video/audio start in background (as is should with sageTV video set to 'background' and 'always').
-I go to WebRadio main menu.
-Press enter on a radio station. The radio station starts to stream, and sageTV media player stops CORRECTLY.
-When I go into ANY sageTV menus that is NOT the main Webradio menu (for example, WebRadio-Now Playing, SageTV-Recordings, SageTV-Program Guide, SageTV-Music Jukebox, etc) the SageTV media player starts back up again!
-This only happens when sageTV is set to have TV playing in 'background' & 'Always'.

I think these issues are related to the underlying problem. I verified that my stv contain the Global Theme you mentioned (see my attached jpg).

The following behavior is 100% reproducable on my system:
-Press Enter on a radio station to start playing the radio station.
-Press Sleep icon on standard STV (top/right of screen)
-SageTV will go to sleep, Radio will NOT stop AND SageTV television audio starts to play as well while sageTV is sleeping in Windows system tray! I can hear both TV and Webradio at the same time while sageTV is sleeping. SageTV media player sleeps works correctly if I do not use webradio.

Pausing live streams should function like muting. Currently it is not supported, but as a side effect it restarts playback.
Thanks for your feedback.
-Please see attached jpgs. As you can see, there are no issues with images resizing on my setup with other STVi's (for example as MovieTimes). I am guessing it is matter of looking at the image setting of an stvi that does this correctly. Unfortunately, I dont know enough about studio to do this myself.

-Glad to know that Pause doe not work because it isn't implemented and not a bug

Thanks for all your effort to make this work for other people! I realize you might not have a lot of motivation to fix these issues if it doesnt happen on your system. I can't thank you enough for this increadible addon to sageTV!!

Help ... where is the stationlist???

Hello All,

Koelec ... This is an excellent piece of work!!
I just loaded the new version(webradio_import_1_0.stvi) of the Web radio.

I can not find my stationlist.txt file. ... Is there a file that will let me know where web radio is looking for the stationlist.txt file?

I have placed a copy of stationlist file in just about every folder to no avail.

Please help!!

Craig

The new Version loads, but there is nothing in the window
(Version 1 worked just fine with the station list)

I think a lot of the sageTV media player stop issues are related to your global theme (mentioned below) does not consider that the sageTV media player is designed to start up again in ANY menu (if sageTV=background & always).

Also, when sageTV goes into sleep mode, "I think" there are TWO stop commands issued (one from Webradio and another one from sageTV's built-in media player code). This results in the TV to start back up again when SageTV goes to sleep.

Koelec ... thanks for the prompt response!!

I am actually using the Sage Client(V 5.0.1.89). The path listed below is where the stationlist.txt file is stored. This is the same file I used from the first release.

C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV\SageTVClient.exe

Just for test purposes ... I did add the stationlist file that was attached in the reply. I restarted the client, but I get the same thing ... an empty window.

Is there an option to change where this stationlist.txt file resides?

Thanks in advance
Craig

Craigdthom:

I made the same mistake too!!
When you add the internal command.. NOTE... there are TWO entries to choose from.. the actual Web Radio and the Now Playing. You added accidently the "Now Playing" entry to Dyanmic menus.

Its works ... JUST AS THE INSTRUCTIONS SAYS

If you use Nielm's Dynamic Menu plugin you simply create a menu item and link it to the internal screen named "WebRadio by koelec".

PERFECT .... WORKS LIKE A CHARM

Thanks Guys

Koelec, your update is fantastic! I thought I would spend a week on the SageMC screens, but I wanted to have it ready to use faster than that. I have attached webradio_sagemc_import_1_0.xml that should be imported instead of webradio_import_1_0.stvi for SageMC. Everything else should be the same. I did change the remote commands to select prev/next stations to use REW#2/FF#2 instead of Ch Up/Dn. I was running into too many conflicts with the station list and Bio section when using those. Some of the same limitations exist such as the Sage player not being able to stop the web radio player, and MVP (I assume).

Make sure to install all of Koelec's files from his installation and then import webradio_sagemc_import_1_0.xml instead of his included stvi file.

http://forums.sage.tv/forums/downloa...?do=file&id=87

To add it to the SageMC MyMenu page without using studio, here are some easy instructions I modified from flachbar on adding it to My Menu

do you have My Menu set up ? If not, do the following:

- enable My Menu in the main menu options menu (ESC on keyboard)
- go to My Menu
- you'll get an error screen, but just ignore it
- bring up the options menu
- Add new menu item
- Internal screen
- scroll down to "WebRadio by koelec"' and select it
- enter a name for the menu
- bring up options menu again, select 'save menu def file'
- bring up options menu again, select 're-read menu def file'
- now you should have a menu item which will open up the Web Radio screen

Ah, that really looks nice. I think I'll try sageMC one time.
By the way, I think I'm able to solve the problems with the restarting of Media player on every menu (sleep issue) and also found a way to stop webradio when Sage Media player starts.

thanks

Yes, sageMC does look nice!

Glad to know you might have figured out the issues below. I can't wait to test the next version!

- now you should have a menu item which will open up the Movie Times screen
I followed these instructions but I am getting the same screen as craigdthom. But in my case I have selected the "WebRadio by koelec" internal menu and it displays that menu when I select it (I have selected it 4 times already with no luck). I have used the default stationlist.txt that koelec posted and a custom one I created with no luck.

The stationlist.txt is located in the same directory as the SageTV.exe. Is there something that I am missing. There has to be because everyone else seems to be having success. Anybody have any ideas?

FYI: I also tried restarting Sage and rebooting with same result.

Actually there are about 17 files in koelec's 1.0 release from the download page that must be installed.

I am still having the same problem as Xsabre and jds23 where I do not get any stations showing up. I have made sure the files are extracted. My Sage installation is in the old Frey/sagetv folder, could that be the problem?

That did it for me. I needed to place your jar files.

The only thing that I am not getting is the pictures and bio info. Any ideas why this would not work.

Thanks in advance...
