anyone started losing the end of programmes?

For about the last month or so I have started lsoing the end of programmes because its seems more programmes are being started later and later.

I know I can add padding but I didnt need to do this awhile ago.

BBC seems to be worse than most.

Is the clock on your computer accurate? If that gets off by a bit, then you can start seeing symptoms like you described.

BBC programs tend to seem the worst, because they have no adverts, and usually run very close to actual start/finish times, unlike Sky one which starts with a couple of mins of adverts + some more adverts + many more adverts , then ends five minutes from end of schedule with more adverts.

So 1-2 minutes running late on BBC,and you tend to miss end of program, any other channel and you would miss 1-2 minute of adverts

BBC can be bad, but I've found late-night ITV even worse. They will be running 8 minutes late at 10:30pm, and *still* put adverts on for their own programmes. This is so irritating, if they are running late they should skip their own adverts at least and get on with it! I'd write and complain if I weren't so lazy...

All programmmes I schedule after 9:30pm on BBC or ITV tend to have 15 minutes of end padding. And I have WinXP sync my time with the internet time servers every 12 hours...

I now add 10 mins to all my programs, unless I have conflicts... But even then there can still be other problems (eg last week's Dr Who... Grrr... Bloody football, or whatever it was!)

Football, FA Cup Final.
Luckily I sat down to watch The Doctor with my kids, saw it was late, and changed the favourite to add 45 minutes of padding. Never took it off though...
