Post your favorite beer!

Nothing goes better with SageTV and sweeps than a cool pint of barley-pop.
Post your favorite brew below!

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is what's in the Keg-o-rator right now for me.
cheers

Before I got married my room mate and I built ourselfs a kegorator. We lived about 2 miles from the Pyramid Brewery here in Seattle. We kept a nice Keg of Hefenweisen on tap most of the time. MMMM one of the worlds most fattening brews. Don't forget your lemon.

If I have to choose a store-bought beer, I choose Killian's Irish Red.

I have several different recipes. One of my favorites is a dark barley wine that I brew up for the winter holidays every year. It averages 18% alcohol For summer heat I like a rasberry wheat beer kit that I get from WindRiver Brewing.

While I usually stick w/ ale I do have a fridge that I can use for lagering. The freezer section keeps my mugs frosty and I drilled thru the door and installed 3 taps that connect to the 5 Gal. soda kegs I use to store and serve the beer from. I drilled another hole in the side for the line from the CO2 cylinder that I use to carbonate the beer and pressurize the taps.

Chimey Blue
Pure velvet in a glass, and at 9%, to be drunk only while sitting down

Delirium Tremens or Chimay feel like my favorites at the moment, but for longer-haul evenings, Boddington's is my top choice.

We're not counting barley wines, are we? I don't really know specific barley wines all that well, but I know I like them in general!

EDIT: I see Niel beat me to it on the Chimay. The stuff he gets in Belgium is probably a little bit tastier than the stuff they ship over here, though.

Things are heating up and that means American hefeweizen, Belgian Wit and maybe a Saison in the brewing line up. I could never pick one favorite though, the reason I started homebrewing and pieced together my kegerator was to allow me any style that suited my fancy, even if the local stores didn't carry it.

Variety is the spice of life.

If it's not Belgian, it's not beer. Hoegaarden.

By the way, How much is a Chimay / Hoegaarden over your side of the pond? The chimay will definately taste the same -- the belgians are *very* strict about their true trappist ales!

Delerium tremens... yum! You have to take a beer seriously when it has pink elephants on the label!

What a perfect excuse to pick up a bottle of Chimay on my way home....

...and a reminder of why I don't drink it as often as I'd like.

By my calculations/translations, it's 10.40 euros per liter from the store (the Grand Premier/Blue bottle). For "comparisons" sake, Grolsch is around 2.60 euros per liter.

At least Chimay (not the Grand Premier, but the "regular" kind) is on tap at one of the bars in our neighborhood. There, the highway robbery isn't quite as obvious (especially after you've had a few).
