Force Full Screen in Sage
Is there a way to force a full screen in Sage? I know it's possible to Toggle the full screen but if they press Menu on my remote I just want to put Sage in Full Screen as a default every time. So, if it is already in full screen, it should ignore that command but otherwise go into full screen and not toggle.
Thanks, Mike |

You could do it in Studio, but I don't know of a way to do that by default.

I and I suppose many others, configure Sage to start in full screen mode when launched.

Sage will start in the last mode it was in. Without any imports you can send it to the tray (sleep), and then exit...the next time it starts, it'll be in full screen. I use the Shutdown STVi however...a lot easier. With neilm's Dynamic Menu, you could remove the "Toggle Screen" command alltogether.

No - the issue is sometimes (I'm not sure why yet) Sage just goes "out of full screen." Usually it has something to do with flipping between programs since I have HIP along with Nielms routines and Nero Showtime. I guess it may be easiest to just create a full screen button. I'm still assigning buttons to the remote for different things.

I have a similar question - sorry for bumping, but I know duplicate threads are annoying.
I currently use SageTV on my gaming computer (dedicated HTPC in the works), and I'd like to be able to toggle SageTV from Windowed Mode to Full Screen with my remote, but that doesn't seem to be possible. I'm using the Microsoft MCE remote with the bundled IR receiver, SageTV v5.0.4 (?) and I have selected my remote as MCE. Is there some sort of button-mapping function that I'm missing? |

I know a lot of people use HIP and love it, but on my bedroom machine I found it to be very unresponsive when the CPU was under heavy load. Sometimes it wouldn't respond at all. I had it running on a lowly XP1400 machine that was also running comskip. It's been much better with Sage's native support. Personally I'd rather use built in support than 3rd party apps when possible. |

Well, after getting more familiar with the remote, I've found that simply pressing the "OK" key in the middle of the 4-way navigation buttons while watching TV will bring up the main menu. From there, you can just select "Toggle Full Screen/Windowed Mode." That's easy enough for me. I suppose the hard part is just knowing when certain menus can be activated from where - different menus are activated depending on which part of the program is currently being used, so pressing the "OK" button doesn't always bring up the same menu.
