SageTV restart remote command
I am wondering what those in the know recommend for remote commands to stop (shutdown) or close SageTV and then restart it via my 45 button Hauppauge remote or any remote for that matter?
Currently I am using Opus4's Irremote.ini that uses the SendMsg() commands to control SageTV which deals with focus issues. But sometimes I notice SageTV has maxed out resources and it is best to send one command via remote to shut it down and then another to start it up again. These are different than putting it to sleep and waking it. I use Remote Desktop to view my machine but don't want to access that at all if possible. So...to shut SageTV down completely right now it this works... BUTTON={close(C:\Progra~1\FreyTe~1\SageTV\SageTV.exe)} ...but I am not sure what to use to start it back up again when it of course is not running at all. The irremote is running of course. BUTTON={run(C:\Progra~1\FreyTe~1\SageTV\SageTV.exe)}{mode(SageTV)} did not work to start up SageTV as I realize it is not running to get the SendMsg() command. Ideas...or an idea for a single restart command? Thanks. |

I dont have that remote, but surely you just set the button to run SageTV.exe without any options?

Thanks! Yes removing {mode(SageTV)} did the trick. Very nice.
