XMLTV & Parental Controls

Hi - I can't find that much information on this so can anyone advise...
  • XMLTV - Are parental controls supported with the XMLTV EPG? Is this in the pipeline?
  • Music/Video - Do parental controls also extend to music/video that you import?
  • Manually update Sage - Is it possible to manually enter this information into Sage for specific shows/films?

I'm using Alan Birtles grabber, which doesn't provide show ratings - yet.

Cheers,
SidKnee

1: No (the EPG plugin does not import it, and the Radio Times in the most cases does not supply the data, Even if it was there, you would need to convert UK ratings to US equivants)
2: No -- imported music & video has no parental restrictions
3: No -- there is no way to modify the data in Sage's internal EPG db..

Thanks Nielm - that sort of kills that idea dead then

Is there a reason that you know of why Sage won't allow anyone to access the database? I seem to remember that in the past it was possible, but shut down in the move to version 2(?). It seems to make life difficult for anyone who doesn't use their EPG.

Cheers,
SidKnee

Yes, I also would be very interested to get access to the database.
  • At the moment there is no way to rename recordings ( "timed recording").
  • no way to enter a recording date for imported recordings

and a lot of other stuff would be possible...

Come on, Frey, consider giving access to the DB to your clients, PLEEEEEAZZE
