is there something wrong with the guide?

I get very little info in live tv guide. Also all my favorites are gone...

Sounds like you lost your wiz.bin file. That where Sage keeps all that information. You can try to restore the wiz.bak file which should be the backup by renaming it to see if that works.

I've had this happen to me after a lockup once. I've since started making periodic backups of the wiz.bin just in case.

after looking in the Sage folder, I can confirm your diagnosis. I have one wiz.bin, one wiz.bak, and two Wiz.bin.corrupt0 & Wiz.bin.corrupt1 files. Should I try to use one of the corupt ones? I don't want to screw things up more without some advice...

I think the wiz.bak gets generated every night. That may be your best bet.

First I'd backup what you have, then rename the wiz.bak to wiz.bin. I think mlbdude is right, Sage backs up the wiz.bin to the wiz.bak every night when it updates the guide data (i think).

I'd avoid the corrupt files unless nothing else works. You always have today's backup if you need them. Of course iyou'd have to restore all your favorites, which could take a while if you had a lot of them.
