How to cancel single episodes of upcoming favorites?

How can I cancel individual episodes of upcoming favorites? I'm using Malore's STV with Sage 2.0. In the past it seems like I have been able to cancel a show by selecting it in Upcoming Favorites, clicking on Record, Record Options, then Cancel Recording and that particular episode would not be recorded. Today, this isn't working and I've tried other approaches. Nothing seems to work. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Steve

Users generally set it to Watched. Cancel Recording should only work on Manual recordings.

Yeah, I always thought it was dumb you couldn't cancel a single recording for a favorite, too.

Beofre I bought a bunch of tuners so that I would never have conflicts, there were many times I wanted it to NOT record a certain airing of a favorite. For whatever reason.

And sometimes they were episodes I had not seen before.

So I would have to mark as watched, wait until the recording has passed, go back and clear the watched flag.

Blah.

If there is something else airing at the same time (Fav A & show B; and you want B), you could either change the priority of B's favorite by moving it in the fav list (if it is a fav), or you could go to the specific airing of B that you want and mark it as a Manual Recording. MR has priority over the fav, so if this is the reason you don't want that episode of A to record, this solution doesn't require marking any of A's individual episodes as Watched or Don't Like.

Boy do I second this. There is a marathon of a show that I have as a favorite that I do not want to record tomorrow so I searched the forum for how to cancel individual episodes expecting to find something I overlooked.

It seems the easiest thing to do is to cancel the favorite temporarily which is really absurd. You really should be able to cancel individual episodes, it's strange to assume just because something is a favorite you want to record every single occurrence that matches your criteria WITHOUT ANY exception ever. See 1998 version of Tivo to see how this should work.

peace . . .

I would sugges to file an official support request on this.

Never assume that Frey sees these posts on this forum.

At least if you submit a bug on the web form, or send an email to support@freytechnologies.com you *know* your voice was heard. And it only takes a minute!

Might not happen in v2.x, but maybe in v3.0??

Thanks for the suggestion. I sent a note to Frey about this.
