PVR-500 and remote control...

I know it doesn't come with one, but I'd like to replace my PVR-250 with a PVR-500. Can I plug in my remote control IR to this card for use?

Cause, that would free up the PVR-250 for the other PC I want in the bedroom....I suppose I could swing it with 3 tuners.....darn.

(actually I was also hopeing to avoid any possible conflicts with the cards 500 vs 250 as they are not yet widely available and there could still be some potential issues.)

just buy a streamzap remote for the pvr-500 pc because you will need the pvr250 remote for the other pc anyway, right?

For that matter, as long as the 250 + 500 in one system doesn't cause problems using the 250's remote (will have to see if there are any problems there), why not just leave all 3 encoders local to the server & put a new remote on the client? I still think it works better to have the encoders local to the server, when possoble.

I use a JP1 modified remote for my Home theatre. Unless the Stream zap remote can learn my Sony equipment, it will not work for me.

I would jut get anothe IR reciever for the second PC, and use my same remote in both rooms. (I can only be in one room at a time no? )
