Capture Sound Level with PVR250 and STV2.1

Hi,
I use Sage TV and while trying to use the latest 2.1 version, the volume of the sound coming through the svideo input is too high and distorted.

I saw some posts suggesting adjusting the SCART1_VOLUME registry entry and tried various values but I can't get it to make any difference.
There are some other registry settings for audio control but cannot figure out what they do.

Are there any adventurous souls out there that have played around with the PVR250 registry settings?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

you need to reboot and then the registry edit only works for new recordings

I know what you mean though, my digital recordings are louder than my analogue ones

Thanks,
I failed to mention that I was rebooting after every change.
Still I noticed no difference. It is as though I was changing the wrong settings!

kny3twalker,

I tried with 7301 (apparently the default) and it was too loud still.
In fact, modifying the value upwards didn't really make any difference (ie volume being raised). I tried values below 7301 to no avail.....
It's notable that with MSPAudio set, STV 2.0.20 suffers from the same condition.
Removing the MSPAudit setting, restores 2.0.20 at least
So am I the last STV user on 2.0.20......? I am starting to feel a bit left out of the 2.1 action (at least stv-wise)....
It is pazzling........

I emailed frey support with this since it was their suggestion as well.
