2.1.9/10 Problem - SageTV Recordings List Suddenly Empty ... moved to "imported" ???
I installed SageTV 2.1 release version today (v2.1.10) on top of my 2.1.9 installation ! Now when I bring up SageTV, the "SageTV Recordings" list is COMPLETELY empty ?!?!?!
All the actual recorded files are still there in the hard disks, but just the recordings list is suddenly empty ! Upon further search, I found that ALL these show files have been added to the "Imported Video Files" area, but of course, they don't have any program description at all ! I never added these files to "Imported Video Files", so I have no idea how this happened ! I am going almost crazy here since I had about 30 or so folders under "SageTV Recordings", each with a whole bunch of recordings. Anyone have ANY idea why this happened ? Even more important, is there ANY way at all to restore the original recordings list ? Any help at alll will be very much appreciated ! Last edited by sudipto; 11-04-2004 at 02:31 AM.

Okay,looks like crisis solved for now ... though I am still puzzled by why this happened in the first place.
Looking at the SageTV installation directory, I found a file named Wiz.bin.corrupt0 with a size of about 2.7MB. The actual Wiz.bin file was only about 1.4MB. In an desperate attempt to recover the showDB, I renamed the Wiz.bin as Wiz.bin.new and renamed the Wiz.bin.corrupt0 file as Wiz.bin. Afterthis change, when I re-started SageTV service and the GUI, all seems to be okay and my SageTV Recordings list is restored and the favorites list also seems to be back at normal ! Whew !!! I remember seeing an utility that will periodically auto back up these key files; I am off to looking for it right now

one more
intelligend recording is this reseting after install? i have some ir in my recording list, they i have for some time set as "i dont like it".
so i wonder that sage records watched shows and other bullsh##t on my harddisk. i take a look in the upcomming records and.... see that all this shows are standing in this list. cu dibu
