Request for SageTV 2.1

The new power functionality is great, specially the possibility to start a recording from hibernate! The only "problem" with this power option is that I would like to have the possibility to prevent recording within a certain timeframe for a favourite. Between the start and end time the favourite is valid and should record all shows. Outside this timeframe the favourite isn't valid and no show should be recorded. With the new power (standby and hibernate) option this would be a great function to prevent unnessary records and startups.
I know this is possible with some other STV's, but it would be great if this could be standard functionality of SageTV.

just use a STV with Time slot like Opus4's MalDude and then switch back to original

it is quite easy especially for 2.1 since you do not need to modify the properties file

I used the MalDude STV a while ago, but when I switched back to the original STV for 2.0 the properties files was full op MalDude stuff. If I understand you alright, this won't happen anymore with the 2.1 version? That would be great!!

and, whats the problem with that -- properties file items that are not used are ignored?
Would you prefer it that each time you switch STVs all your custom settings for that STV are lost?

Oh no the custom settings shouldn't be lost.
But it might be better to put the STV settings in a seperate file for each STV? That why it is also very easy to backup your settings, but also to remove a STV with settings when you decide no to use it anymore after playing around a little bit.

I believe the properties file name is determined by the program, not the STV. You will also find that old SageTV properties are left in the file when Frey changes things. The only way I know of to clear everything out is to delete the properties file & its auto-backup, then reconfigure.
