Unhappy 2.1 Terrestrial not working - Help

After installing Vsn 2.1 the PVR250 that uses the direct coax input for terrestrial TV doesn't tune correctly.

Old Tuning:
BBC1 - 26
BBC2 - 33
ITV1 - 23
Channel 4 - 30
Five - 37
Tuning post Vsn 2.1:
BBC1 - can't get
BBC2 - 30
ITV1 - can't get
Channel 4 - 26
Five - Can't get

All the channels that I can't get just appear as snow/fuzz.

If I just set the PVR250 to have no EPG source and go through 'viewing' every channel number, the only two channel with a picture are 26 and 30.

My system is definitely set up as UK in the regional settings, so I don't think it's that.

I also had the 'Pal' problem which I corrected, so that my composite input now works fine.

When you first installed 2.0, you must have done registry changes to have the channels in the order you like. Correct?

Check the mmc/country_code in Sage.Properties and Client properties.
Is it still correct? (As in the same as in the 2.0 properties)

It looks like that since installing 2.1 Sage TV is not looking at the right place to find the frequencies to tune.

I have always just left the channels as they are (but added an A,B,C,D,E before the number). This has always worked for me - even with dual EPG's.

I think my country code is set to '0' (which it was in 2.0). would this be correct for the UK?

That explains things!
I was sure that I had the country code set to '0' in 2.0.

Well 2.1 seems to be working fine so far. Just waiting for nielm to update the STV

ukmgranger,
Do you have a digibox/freeview/cable box connected to the composite input of the pvr250?

If so, is the sound OK? My terrestrial channels come out great but the sky channels come with too high volume distorting the encoded sound with Stv 2.1.

Lucas,
The sound is much louder from my Freeview box now, but it is not distorting the i/p of the composite PVR250.

It would be great to have a fix for this - but for me it's not crutial at the mo.

The link below could be something to try, as it explains how to alter the volume of your PVR250 with a reg hack.

Thanks, already tried those to no avail.
Frey, have suggested to try mmc/country_code = 30.

I will be testing that to see if it is any better.

Hi,

it does not work for me. I'm in Belgium, I tried Country code 32, 44, 30, 0... nothing works.
It works perfectly with V2.20 (the frequencies to tune are in the registry).
What's the country code for?
Thanks for your help.

Ferdinand
